PGP Tax Consultancy advises that the Prime Minister of the UAE Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued Cabinet Decision No. 75 of 2023 on the Administrative Penalties for Violations Related to the Application of Federal Decree-Law No. (47) of 2022 on the Taxation of Corporations and Businesses. This Decision came into effect on 1 August 2023.

On 1 August 2023, Federal Laws No. 339-FZ and No. 340-FZ came into force, which determine the legal grounds for the digital rouble to be used in settlements as a new form of Russian national currency.

On 19 July 2023, a group of deputies put before the State Duma draft law No. 405607-8 introducing new requirements for sellers (service providers) ensuring that a consumer obtains a certain service on the Internet on a regular basis or has regular access to goods (services) on an Internet website (the “owner of an online service”) based on a subscriber agreement.

The Federal Law has been adopted, which continues the reform of the legal regulation of common ownership with regard to garage associations and specifies rules for their management.

By Resolution No. 41-P dated 14 July 2023 which was adopted further to an appeal of VimpelCom PJSC, the Russian Constitutional Court held that provisions of the Russian Tax Code are inconsistent with the Constitution which relate to the calculation of the period for a controlled transaction to be audited where an updated notification has been submitted but where information regarding the transaction has already been included in the original notification.
