Pepeliaev Group advises that on 20 June 2020, by its Resolution No. 894[i], the Russian Government amended the rules[ii] that it had previously issued with respect to subsidies being granted to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the most affected sectors in the amount of one minimum monthly wage per employee.

Before the amendments, applications for subsidies were supposed to be filed by 1 June 2020, but the amendments have extended the period when SMEs may apply for the state support by one month, so now such application must be filed with the tax authority on or before 1 July.

Consequently, companies that became entitled to receive subsidies for April after the expansion of the list of the most affected industries approved by the Government[iii] will also be able to benefit from this right if they have not managed to apply for state support in time.

Please note that the subsidy application for May 2020 must also be filed on or before 1 July.

You can find more detailed information on the procedure for receiving subsidies in Pepeliaev Group’s alerts dated 28 April 2020 and 1 May 2020.
