Has been passed by the State Duma in the first reading.
Amendments have been proposed to Federal Law No. 127-FZ dated 24 July 1998 regarding control over cross-border road haulage, according to which:
during cross-border road haulage, Russian and foreign carriers will be able to submit a preliminary notice of cargo/a transport vehicle to the state information system for electronic shipping documents (in Russian, abbreviated as ‘GIS EPD’);
the Government will determine the composition of information and the format of a preliminary notice, the deadlines and the procedure for submitting it, and the rules for considering it;
that such preliminary notice has been submitted does not release carriers from the obligation to have documents on paper that are required for the purposes of border, customs or other types of control.
