On 28 September, a Pepeliaev Group’s round table under the title: ‘Legislative incentives for an environmentally friendly approach to business’ was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The event was held within the framework of the 21st Sakhalin Oil and Gas Conference. 

Sergey Pepeliaev, the Managing Partner of Pepeliaev Group, met with Oleg Kozhemyako, the Governor of Sakhalin Region, at the international Sakhalin Oil & Gas Conference, held between 27 and 29 September in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

On 20 September the Pepeliaev Group Exclusive Club held its first meeting in the Museums of the Moscow Kremlin. Elena Sokolovskaya, Head of Pepeliaev Group’s Antitrust Practice, took part in the conference “The prospects for developing antimonopoly compliance in Russia” organised by the newspaper Vedomosti on 30 August 2017 in Moscow.

Pepeliaev Group’s team of lawyers have successfully safeguarded the interests of Daesung Industrial Co., Ltd - a major Korean energy holding company - in the first instance court. Our client was seeking to recover from its Russian contracting party a four-million dollar debt under agreements for the sale and purchase of products manufactured in Korea. The project continued for more than one year.

Pepeliaev Group’s lawyers have been included in the Indirect Tax Leaders 2017 directory compiled by the International Tax Review journal. Pepeliaev Group’s senior partners Rustem Ahmetshin and Andrey Nikonov, partner Andrey Tereschenko and senior associate Petr Popov were among the leaders in indirect tax.
