Valentina Orlova has been included in the working group which is preparing a draft law amending the Russian Civil Code
Valentina Orlova, Head of the Intellectual Property and Trademarks Practice at Pepeliaev Group, participated in the first meeting of the working group that is preparing a draft law amending the Russian Civil Code. The changes will improve the legal regulation of the appellations of origin of goods and supplement the list of the protected IP items with a new item called a ‘geographical indication’.

Experts of law firm Pepeliaev Group have participated in the development of content for the Business Environment platform the establishment of which has been initiated by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Sberbank PJSC. The platform will accumulate services which will be useful for small and medium enterprises. The knowledge base of the platform will cover all topics of a business cycle, from formation to the liquidation of a company.

A presentation of the book “Ancient manuscripts. The first Russian legal documents” was given at the law faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The book, which is based on artefacts displayed at the Russian State Historical Museum, was published by Pepeliaev Group with the support of the law faculty of the Moscow State University. The presentation was a part of the opening ceremony for the National Law History Museum.
